"CLEETHORPES is an exciting place to be," according to the latest business to open in the resort.
County estate agent Pygott & Crone has now opened its 12th office, with the high performing property market and the area's attraction for renewable energy workers proving too strong a lure to ignore.
The Relocation Agent Network Of The Year winner has had a presence in Grimsby for more than a decade and, given the property boom being experienced in Cleethorpes, has made the decision to open a new technology-driven office at St Peter's Avenue.
David Gardner, branch manager, said: "House prices in Cleethorpes are booming, with fantastic growth being seen in the area and property prices outstripping the area by a considerable amount.
"The DN35 postcode has had the greatest increase in local prices, jumping an incredible amount, surpassing the national average by increasing by 7 per cent over the last year.
"A combination of new and existing staff are located at our new office and I look forward to welcoming a wealth of new starters over the coming months."
Having sold homes in Cleethorpes from the South St Mary's Gate branch for several years, Mr Gardner said the addition made "perfect sense".
Leah was tired of worrying about bills all of the time. Then one late night, whilst surfing the internet, she discovered her tight lip secret to getting a break in life and beating the recession.
"We've already had an influx of customers coming in to congratulate us and welcome us to the area, we'd only been open for an hour when a customer whose home we'd sold in Grimsby came in with some cakes, which was fantastic.
"Cleethorpes is an exciting place to be at the moment. It is fast becoming a seaside resort within commutable distance to London and, with renewable energy industries coming into the area and creating a host of new jobs, there's a lot of buzz about the place.
"Comparatively, North East Lincolnshire offers more affordable house prices than the rest of the UK, making the area an attractive one to those looking to get onto the property ladder. There's also a host of events coming to Cleethorpes, including the National Armed Forces Day, which is a huge honour for the area, and we're looking forward to celebrating along with the royal family later in the summer."
It comes as a boost for the professional services sector as HSBC prepares to close in Sea View Street.
Tim Downing, senior partner at Pygott & Crone, added: "North East Lincolnshire's economy is performing extremely well and the housing market is no different.
"The new office is absolutely stunning with thoroughly high tech with modern features throughout which are unique to Pygott & Crone. We're looking forward to offering our award-winning services and continuing to build relations with clients."
