Following a doubling in its club's membership, the Buy to Let Business has undergone its biggest expansion drive since its incorporation.
B&C Distributor understands that The Buy to Let Business has recruited 12 members of staff, with an aim to increase staff levels to over 50 by this time next year.
Ying Tan, Managing Director of Buy to Let Business and it Buy to Let Club, informed B&C Distributor that the new additions are fresh to the industry, but they have undergone the firm’s intensive four-week induction programme - the Buy to Let Academy.
Ying Tan said: “Recruiting experienced people with the correct skill sets has been very challenging so many of our new recruits are fresh to the industry. We put them through CeMAP and train them intensively at our Buy to Let Academy to give them a strong base to start their career in mortgages.
“It is a very exciting time for the business and indeed the Industry, so ensuring you get the right calibre of staff to execute the company vision is vitally important.”
One new underwriter, Paul Griffin who boasts 15 years of experience, is set to manage the firm’s bridging and commercial packaging team. He will nurture the club’s aim to target more commercial and bridging business with the likes of Shawbrook Bank, Interbay Commercial, Aldermore and Dragonfly Property Finance.
The firm also plans to have a series of road shows in the Autumn to educate its brokers on the opportunities in this sector of the market.
